52 project: summertime

I was responsible for choosing this week’s assignment. I chose the topic “summertime”, because although I love summer, I’m so extremely excited that my first summer in hot humid North Carolina is coming to an end and wanted to capture some photos that give me a reason to look forward to next summer!
For my furkids, Milton & Roger, summertime activities have one thing in common: water! Dipping in the water fountain along one of our running routes, chomping on ice cubes, laying in dirty muddy puddles, and sticking their noses right up to the dog park water spout are tactics Milton & Roger use to survive the summer. The photos here were taken after a visit to to nearby Washington Park. They are very similar to the photos I shared for assignment inspiration, but I couldn’t resist sharing a few more of Milton’s silly interest in the dog park nozzle.
