fawn lily tunic & dress

For A’s birthday, I sewed up the Fawn Lily Tunic & Dress by Willow & Co. You might have seen some of the photos in my original post on the fox-themed birthday party, but I wanted to share a few more photos and details about the dress. The star of this dress is really the fox fabric by Ed Emberley that I picked up from Hawthorne Threads, complimented with an orange stretchy bottomweight leftover from hosh pants I made, and a low-key grey quilting cotton. I made a 2T for A, and the top is a bit roomy so she’ll be able to grow into it over the summer.

This pattern is great for a confident beginner as it has a few tricky steps for a clean finish on the sleeves. It comes with quite a few options: 3 different yokes, 3 different gathering styles, 3 different lengths, and a few finishing options for the sleeves. It is a high quality pattern and I strongly recommend it.

Some of the photos capture her spunky & spirited personality these days. Enjoy!
