It’s been a few weeks since I shared some updated photos of toddler A. Between a really busy week of photo events related to our friend’s wedding weekend extravaganza, and being sick with a chronic cough and/or allergies, I haven’t made time to go out and grab some updated photos.
A is busy as usual. Her vocabulary is slowly growing, focusing on “b” and “p” words. She says baba (puppy), baaaa (ball), booo (book), goo giirr (good girl), ooh-ooh-ahh (monkey noises), baa (generic farm animal noises), yeah, mama, dada, ghagha (chocolate), ghagha (fruit stacks), yaya (roger), and of course she understands a lot of other words but we haven’t identified them as consistent words.
We tell her there’s a baby in my belly, and she pats my belly gently (for the most part) and sometimes when she sees babies on TV she points to my belly. She’s also now able to give real kisses and continues to give hugs, which is very cute. She loves being chased, running, and “jumping” off the couch into pillows, so I don’t doubt that she’ll be an active kid.
Photographing a toddler can be a bit tricky, but I usually try to focus on action shots with some candid posing when I can. I’m able to get a few posed shots while she stands or sits on benches, and I love photographing her growing hair since it has little curls in the back.
