I was far too distracted around the new year to even think about resolutions, but after a friend of mine asked me what my business goals for the year are, I spent some time thinking about my goals and resolutions for the year. Here they are, in no particular order:
- Improve my photography skills, intentionally. What does that mean? Well, it means that I’d like to dedicate “practice” to improving my photography skills. More on that below.
- Continue shooting weekly. Participate in a 52 week challenge. I recently purchased A Beautiful Mess’s Capture Real Life in 52 Weeks e-course with the intention of challenging myself with weekly assignments to improve not only on photography, but also in telling stories with photos.
- Continue shooting for clients, of course! I was happy with the pace of shooting last year and I’d like to continue that. I’d like to focus my efforts on pets, newborns, and birthday parties.
- Continue other creative activities, such as sewing, baking, and digital art. I’d love to try to do these weekly.
