It’s been a while since I posted about any of my sewing projects. I’ve been sewing here and there finishing up a few projects. Here are two that I’ve finally finished up for upcoming family photos: a pair of Oliver + S dresses , the Ice Cream Dress (top right) and Music Box Jumper (top left).
The Oliver + S patterns aren’t cheap, but they are always high quality patterns, producing high quality, finished garments and many of the patterns have multiple options. I’ve made the Ice Cream tunic several times before, but this time went with View A of the pattern as a dress with pockets. I chose the View A of the Music Box Jumper with pleats. I chose to use Chambray combined with textured pink linen for both dresses – I wanted them to be matchy, but not exactly the same patterns.
I did improvise a bit on the Music Box Jumper as the pattern has buttons in the back, but I chose to place them in the front and take in a bit since baby S is pretty skinny. I should have measured prior to sewing (oops), but this will do for now and later I can potentially move the buttons out to widen the dress.
Anyways, we are very excited for our upcoming family photos with our photographer friend Megan!
